Great series! Tracy, Ellen, Sam... paved the path for all female sailors, thank you to Musto and World Sailing for this initiative and to the Magenta Project for their work. I have my own battle I'm fighting for, not many females as commentators and presenters in sailing, but recently managed to comment on the race start of the Transat CIC with my good friend Pam, 2 females in the commentary booth We got this ladys!!! Examples, mentors, opportunities. The numbers and the continued successes of women at sea will one day make series like this unnecessary but for now, we all need it. Thank you.

Well presented. Compromises are made all around but it is important to have a level playing field and Clarisse’s treatment by her previous sponsor showed that improvements were and are necessary. Diversity in the workplace and onboard is a benefit to all.

Excellent series thus far. I hope it’s seen by many folks outside the sailing community because it most certainly applies to all. I’m confident the next segment will feature Clarisse Cremer and her struggles against the biases of motherhood and her fight for equity. Well done. All you have to do is look at Banque Populaire’s treatment of Clarisse Cremer to see that we have a long way to go in equalizing the playing field. Maiden’s victory in the Ocean Globe Race this year and Kirsten Neuschafer winning the Golden Globe Race last year show the world they’re wrong not to give the utmost respect and credit to these women.

Yes, Ventile is nice to wear. However, I understood, from John Hunt's book, that the high altitude windshell suit worn by the 1953 expedition was made from a close woven cotton /nylon fabric, treated with "Mystolen". Which does'nt sound like they used cotton Ventile.
